All grown up now

I've been so busy these past few months that I haven't kept up with my blog. Some of the highlights of my life up to 7 months are:

My mom had knee replacement surgery so I've been very busy taking care of her. Okay, so I haven't actually given her the anti-blood clot shots, but I've watched very carefully as they were given. But I have helped by tasting her meals in bed every day (I am particularly fond of the turkey, bacon, ham and cheese club sandwiches and have discovered a love of cream of tomato soup). And physical therapy? She has to work so hard not to fall over me or step on my tail whenever she gets out of bed that it adds at least 30 minutes of rehab time to her schedule every day. I also like to sit on her ankle while she does something called 'ankle pumps' so instead of lifting air she's lifting 8 pounds of Georgie! And weaving in and out of her ankles while she's trying to climb the stairs with her cane is terrific. That means instead of just concentrating on her feet and the cane she also has to watch out for my four paws. I'm sure that the more complicated the rehab process, the better. I am doing my best to complicate it as much as possible.

Then there's something called SNOW! I am not quite sure what causes it but I had a lot of fun digging in it. One day we had nearly 2 feet of snow in a single day and that was great. I could dig my holes and then swim through the stuff to another spot in the yard and fly out. I don't like it when the snow gets in my foot pads though...Mom really needs to get me a pair of Uggs (masculine ones of course). Maybe in a soft blue to match my eyes. I'm also hoping for a pair of doggles for the summer so my eyes don't get burned.

Today we watched a TV show on dogs and they showed some wiener dog races. I think I'll check the newspapers to see if there are going to be any wiener dog races close to where I live. I think it would be a lot of fun. The show mentioned that my breed is very stubborn, independent and hard to train. Gotta love it!

I've learned a couple of tricks....I roll over and wave my paws when someone says 'stick em up' and lift my paw for 'paw'. If it suits me I will come when called. Of course I know my name but it doesn't always suit me to come. Ssssshh don't tell Mom.

Oops gotta go...the other barkers are at the bedroom door wanting me to go rip up some paper. I love paper ripping. I also love chewing on plastic, stalking my squeak toys and eating pizza. Watching TV is good also, specially dog shows and cartoons.
